No activation fees for 01.com Zimbra hosting
As of April, 2009, we’re suspending the activation fees we’ve charged in the past for month-to-month Zimbra hosting.
On average, we estimate this will save new customers 18% in their first year of service. Along with our 30-day no obligation trial, we hope no activation/setup fees will encourage those considering our services and not yet ready to commit to a prepaid annual term which already has no setup fee.
This means a business account using your own, personalized domain name(s) is $9.99/month per mailbox with Zimbra Mobile for full iPhone sync, or only $6.99 without Zimbra Mobile. And this means a personal account, with a mailbox at your.name@zimbra.01.com, is $4.99/month with Zimbra Mobile for full iPhone push email, and secure, over-the-air calendars and contacts sync, without any additional charges. The first 30 days remain free, without obligation. Fees for our annual term business hosting at $49.99/mailbox, including Zimbra Mobile, 2GB of space and no activation fees, will also remain the same.
We are upgrading our calculator and other website documentation to reflect this change in pricing for our clients with month-to-month terms. Sign-up for our Zimbra hosting service is automated, see our secure, hosted Zimbra order form. We charge $1 and refund it just to validate a credit card, and minutes later you receive your login info via email. At your convenience, you can point your MX record to our servers, and begin to receive email at our enterprise Zimbra servers for your own domain name. We also support a personal hosting option, great for a quick trial, that doesn’t even require your own internet domain name.
We will continue not to charge activation fees for Zimbra hosting at least until May, 2009.
