01.com upgraded to Zimbra 5.0.13 successfully

Wednesday, December 17th, 2008

01-upgrade-mast01.com upgraded its Zimbra cloud hosting environment to version 5.0.13 from 5.0.10.  Service in the 01.com Zimbra groupware cloud hosting environment was interrupted between the hours of 10PM CST Saturday night [convert to your time-zone], February 28, and about 4AM CDT Sunday morning, March 1, 2009.

We apologize for any inconvenience this down-time may have caused to clients of the 01.com Zimbra cloud, and expect the benefits of the upgrade to materially outweigh the drawback of down-time during a scheduled maintenance period.

Upgrade to Zimbra 5.0.8 successful, next upgrade planned

Saturday, July 26th, 2008

01.com upgraded its Zimbra cloud hosting environment to version 5.0.8.  Service was unavailable from approximately 10PM Saturday night until about 3AM Sunday morning, U.S. central time, July 26-27, 2008.

Apple iPhone and iPod Touch version 2.0 compatibility is possibly the most significant new feature of this latest version of Zimbra.  Zimbra supports ActiveSync and the iPhone’s new “push” email capability, synchronizing calendar and contacts over-the-air.  Five of many bug-fixes and new features include:

  • Support for the iPhone’s version 2 ActiveSync over the air sync (see the Zimbra blog)
  • Fixes to the Zimbra Outlook Connector
  • New calendar scheduling wizard
