Zimbra-Blackberry (BES) native sync graduates December, 2009

October 31st, 2009

Native Blackberry

Introducing the general release of “push” mail for instant delivery of mail, calendar, contact and task sync to Blackberry devices!

As of December 1, 2009, we will bring our native Blackberry hosting solution out of “beta” status.

“Native” means you don’t have to load any software onto your Blackberry device, you can simply use the built-in Enterprise Activation feature to get up and running quickly. See our public FAQs for more information.

Pricing/device is $99/yr, or $9.99/mo for month-to-month terms.

Customers currently participating in our free beta program will be charged for December’s service unless canceled before November 28th, the date of December’s billing analysis.

A Blackberry Alliance Partner, 01.com uses the official, RIM Blackberry Enterprise Servers (BES). Zimbra is only the fourth  solution authorized for native support by RIM, the maker of Blackberry.

Service requires your cell phone company to provide access to the BES network.  Their extra fees may apply.
