Today Zimbra, a VWware company, announced the general release of Zimbra Collaboration Server 7 (ZCS).

Based on experience with major upgrades since Zimbra version 3, 01.com expects to begin production ZCS 7 upgrades for its hosted and managed-services customers at the beginning of Q3, 2011.  This should provide adequate time for testing, and early software revisions, to deliver the new features of ZCS 7 with expected reliability and performance.  We expect to announce specific dates here as testing and revision continues, and we get closer to Q3.  Read more... At EDUCAUSE in Austin, Texas, at 10:30AM local-time on Wednesday, February 23, 2011, following an overview of the Zimbra Collaboration Server (ZCS) software by VMware, 01.com will introduce the technology director for a College currently hosting its faculty, staff and students on the ZCS as managed by 01.com from its new, high availability, VMware-certified, vCloud data centers.

The title of the event is Lessons from the Cloud: How to Build a Next-Generation Email and Collaboration Solution.  01.com Professional Services Manager, Erik Hinderer, will be introducing our customer Sacred Heart Seminary to discuss his real-live experience with 01.com’s hosted Zimbra for EDU solution.  Read more...
